A visit to Stamford Town Center can now include much more than shopping. Across the mall, artists, arts organizations, galleries, and cultural groups are creating opportunities to experience art, dance, creativity, and community in unexpected places.
For Stamford residents and visitors looking for something to see, make, learn, or experience, the Town Center has become an increasingly vibrant cultural destination. Several Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County members are helping shape that experience, bringing their programs and creative practices into the heart of downtown Stamford.
We visited a few of them to learn more about what they are creating and why these spaces matter.

The school also makes its studio space available for rehearsals, filming, events, and other creative uses.
Ballet Folklórico de las Américas

The Stamford-based company has also brought major cultural celebrations to the Town Center, including Colombian Independence Day and Cinco de Mayo programming.
And There’s More to Discover
These four organizations represent just part of the cultural activity taking place in and around Stamford Town Center. From exhibitions and performances to classes, workshops, cultural celebrations, and community gatherings, artists and arts organizations are finding new ways to activate the space and connect with audiences.
Some of the activity doesn’t fit neatly into a video, either. Throughout the year, the Town Center can serve as a gathering place for performances, cultural celebrations, exhibitions, classes, and other creative experiences. We hope this is just the beginning of a larger conversation about the role arts and culture can play in reimagining shared community spaces.
