Our newly-elected statewide representatives will have to quickly address complex issues facing the future of our state. They must understand that supporting and protecting the arts and culture sector is critical to rebuild our economy, revitalize our neighborhoods, and reimagine our way of life during and beyond the pandemic. Harnessing the power of the arts must be part of their plans for a resilient Connecticut.
The CT Arts Alliance sent out a questionnaire to all General Assembly candidates to answer. The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County is following up that questionnaire with this forum in which six candidates will discuss their plans to strengthen the arts and culture sector in our state.
Five community representatives, including artists and leaders of arts and cultural organizations across the region, will introduce themselves and ask the candidates the questions.
This virtual forum, part of a series of regional candidate forums, connecting voters and candidates, will present six candidates from across coastal Fairfield County speaking on the five questions asked of them in the candidate questionnaire. Audience questions will be welcome if time allows. Register Here.
