Membership Manager

The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County seeks a creative, relationship-driven professional who shares our values of strengthening the community through arts and culture, widening arts access, and cultivating the community by fostering well-being across coastal Fairfield County.

We seek a Membership Manager to support our growing program and organizational needs. The membership manager will oversee all daily membership operations, including monitoring membership accounts, ensuring timely responses to member inquiries, and executing recruitment and retention campaigns.

Role expectations:

Member relations (50%):

  • Maintain regular member outreach.
  • Develop and implement strategies for retaining existing members and recruiting and cultivating new members, including creating new member benefits.
  • Manage CACF’s knowledge sharing for members, including providing relevant information and resources on request and soliciting input from staff within their areas of expertise as needed to share with members.
  • Curate CAFC’s virtual resources for members.
  • Manage CAFCs program evaluations with a focus on member service excellence, including but not limited to coordination of our annual member survey and ongoing program evaluations.
  • With support from the Executive Director, participate in member events and activities.
  • Represent CAFC with members and in the community, including speaking publicly for the organization when needed.

Provide coordination and execution of programs (50%):

  • Plan and coordinate member network meetings and communities of practice convenings.
  • Develop and implement strategies for cultivating and retaining facilitators and presenters for membership network meetings and communities of practice groups.

The ideal candidate will have the following credentials, background, and personal skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of professional experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service and to lead and balance work with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Program planning, implementation, and evaluation experience are preferred.
  • Demonstrated success with managing, facilitating, and presenting to committees and groups within organizations or in a community setting
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and collaborative, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Positive attitude towards community building and relationship management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and a willingness to have FUN.
  • A commitment to CAFC’s mission.

What We Offer:

Headquartered in Norwalk, CT, we operate on a hybrid basis, with time in person for events and/or meetings with the team. The role reports to the Executive Director. This position is full-time, 37.5 hours a week with a salary of $45,000.

The Cultural Alliance is one of 8 Designated Regional Service Organizations across the state that work as agents for the CT Office of the Arts.
