Discover what “Accessibility” Means

Oct.1: Accessibility & Inclusion in the Arts: Free ADA Workshop @ Stepping Stones. More than just wheelchair ramps…Discover what “accessibility” really means and how it can bring whole new audiences to your venue! All those working for arts and culture venues are encouraged to register for a free workshop on applying the Americans with Disabilities Act: ADA: Principles & Practices for Arts Administrators.

The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County is partnering with the Connecticut Office of the Arts, and with Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk, to offer one in a series of six parallel free workshops on the concepts, terminology, principles and practices of the ADA. Register now for our local workshop at Stepping Stones Museum on October 1.

In addition to community organizer, advocate and former Project Director for the ADA Coalition of Connecicut, Elanah Sherman,  each workshop will include a different panel of local individuals with disabilities who will share their experiences attending and participating in the arts. In our region the panelists are Alan Gunzberg, Amy Oestreicher and Jamie Petrone.
