Description

Theatrical performance:“Three Women Who Made Weston Weston Come to Life"
January 31, 2020 at 7:00pm
Weston Historical Society, 104 Weston Road, Weston CT.
The event is free and open to the public.
Please RSVP at info@westonhistoricalsociety.org or call 203-226-1804.

The evening will feature a dramatic performance and reception. Three Fairfield County actresses will portray the women highlighted in the exhibit -- Alice DeLamar, heiress & patron of the arts, Eva Le Gallienne, renowned actress, and Katharine Ordway, heiress & conservationist. Famous in their respective fields, DeLamar, Le Gallienne and Ordway were also celebrated as conservationists. Their combined donations of hundreds of acres of open space ensured Weston’s natural beauty today.

The performance will be given by Marty Bishop of Bethel, Samantha Kulish-Fargione, Weston Historical Society executive director, and Dr. Darla Shaw of Ridgefield. Their characters will discuss their early years, life accomplishments, and their connection to Weston and each other.
