The Sunny Days at Stepping Stones offerings just got bigger and brighter with Free Play at Stepping Stones, an outdoor play experience featuring free play time and special programming.
Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday through August 30, members and non-members alike will have access to playful learning opportunities in the museum’s Celebration Courtyard and Energy Lab® from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
While guests will be free to play in the Celebration Courtyard for your entire visit, we are offering timed access to the Energy Lab® as well. Small groups of guests can play in the popular exhibit space in 30-minute intervals so that we can maximize the number of people that can safely enjoy the experience. (Masks required indoors for anyone ages 3 and older.) Our wonderful STEAM Team will also be facilitating pop-up programming at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Participation in these programs is optional, so if your little one just wants to freely play in our outdoor, tented space, that’s A-Okay!
Oh yeah, we left out one important detail...Free Play at Stepping Stones is FREE to all visitors. That’s right, thanks to the CT Summer at the Museum Program and our Open Arms Accessibility Initiative, there is no charge for these offerings. However, we do have a limited capacity, so reservations are required.
*While this event is free to CT residents through the Connecticut Summer at the Museum Program and free to out-of-state residents because of our community's generous support of our Open Arms Accessibility Initiative, please consider making a donation at checkout so that the museum can continue to offer free experiences to families in need through Open Arns when the State's program ends.
