Description

The Avon Theatre presents a Black Lens screening of MEMPHIS MAJIC. Please join us for a pre-film reception at 6:30pm. There will be a post-film Q&A with director Eddie Bailey, moderated by film series curator Harriette Cole. MEMPHIS MAJIC takes a look at the DNA of Memphis through the lens of a Memphis-born street dance called Jookin. Featuring street dance superstar, Lil Buck, the film seamlessly connects urban dance, hip-hop, politics, and history to reveal how one of America's most important cities was built.
