A Book Launch For:

My Beautiful Detour
An unthinkable journey from gutless to grateful

Thursday, July 11, 2019
Barnes & Noble
1076 Post Road East
Westport, CT
6:30 pm

Help Amy celebrate the release of her inspiring memoir with a community-wide event.
There will be a brief author interview (with Gabi Coatsworth)/Q & A, followed by an excerpt reading, musical performance and book signing.
There will also be refreshments and a literary door prize gift basket. All are welcome.

My Beautiful Detour leads readers through Amy’s unthinkable journey, and shares her hard-won insight on the restorative power of creativity to forge a roadmap where none existed.
Amy's journey as a survivor—and 'thriver'—of abuse and extensive medical trauma is ultimately a celebration of ordinary and extraordinary challenges and miracles. She encourages others to find their beautiful detour, and empowers us to find gratitude in every setback and discover our own infinite inner strength.

“Amy’s extraordinary life and work reveal the power of art to transform. Her survival journey, unveiled in My Beautiful Detour, is more than inspiring; it is a celebration. Against all odds, Amy finds—and creates—the magical out of the impossible.”
— Amanda Gronich, co-creator, The Laramie Project
