Description

Presented in collaboration with the Carl and Dorothy Bennett Center for Judaic Studies, Fairfield University Art Museum, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Fairfield County

Art Spiegelman, a Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist, believes comics are becoming more important in post-literate culture. His masterful Holocaust narrative, Maus, portrayed Jews as mice and Nazis as cats. Spiegelman will discuss his work and Szyk's anti-Nazi political cartooning in an exhibition at Fairfield University Art Museum.
