Yale University Holocaust historian Timothy Snyder's 2017 book, On Tyranny: 20 Lessons from the 20th Century, was a #1 New York Times bestseller and a global defense of democracy. His latest book, Our Malady, examines healthcare as a human right, starting with Snyder's recent illness. The book rethinks the connections between health and freedom, highlighting the urgency of a healthy and free America in a time of authoritarianism and pandemic. Snyder's cri de coeur and data-driven argument aim to create a more just and equitable society.
