Marian Grant, a nurse practitioner at the University of Maryland Medical Center, speaks on palliative care nationally and internationally. After a 20-year career in corporate marketing and communications, she returned to nursing after volunteering as an AIDS hospice volunteer. Dr. Grant is now the senior regulatory advisor for the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care and a consultant for the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC). She is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins Schools of Nursing. In 2014, she was selected as a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow, working on Capitol Hill and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation.
