Henry James wrote, “Art lives upon discussion." In this workshop, we will practice what poems ask from us: slow down, revel in language and rhythm, and be curious and exploratory. We’ll discuss elements of craft by “walking slowly” through each participant’s work: How does the poem begin? Or, how, as readers, are we invited to enter the poem? And then, how does the poet move from beginning to end? We’ll discuss what’s working in the poem and what areas need more attention.
