Poetic realism is infused with the mood of his Mexican heritage and the chiaroscuro of Caravaggio. Portraits of family and friends feature the influence of his recent academic training from his time at Paier school of art in Bridgeport. Also on view are folkloric block prints. The opening reception on Sat. 9/16 from 3-6 pm will include live music played by an ensemble including Miguel’s son Cosobi.

The solo exhibit runs throughout the month of Hispanic Heritage month and up to the first day of El Dia de los Muertos on Nov 1, 2023.
