Program Description
Could painting and drawing the portrait be easier to grasp if it were to be broken up into smaller components? That is exactly what this class is about. We will discuss the process of drawing and painting the portrait from start to finish moving from simple to complex principals. The first week students will be using the instructor's photos to give them an idea of the process and suggested quality of photos needed for the rest of the session. Students are welcome to use the medium of their choice such as graphite pencils, charcoal, pastels, and oil paints. Participants will be introduced to new approaches and concepts that will allow them to simplify and draw or paint the portrait with much ease. There will be demonstrations, group critiques, and frequent one on one critiques which will strengthen and solidify every participant's knowledge on this fun subject. Class will be held in G.A.S. Studio with physical distance zones and all CDC precautions. Max. 6 students.
