William Evertson: Mythologies recognizes the work of member William Evertson having received the award for Best in Show from the 2019 Annual Members Exhibition. William’s woodcut prints carry with them narratives of love, greed, hubris and the fatally flawed cross cultures and time. These stories inform the mythology and folklore that inspire his work—by recognizing repetitive patterns from the past and reinterpreting it in art with an aim to give new voice to familiar tales.
