Beginning August 1, the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County welcomes a new chapter in board leadership while celebrating the dedicated service of two longtime volunteers whose leadership has helped strengthen our organization and our region’s cultural community.
Michael Moore will begin his term as President of the Board of Directors, succeeding Cheryl R Williams, who has served as Board President with vision, generosity, and a deep commitment to advancing Fairfield County’s arts and cultural sector. Whitney Isola will assume the role of Treasurer, succeeding Holly Hotchner, whose thoughtful financial stewardship and unwavering support have helped guide the organization through an important period of growth.
Cheryl and Holly will both continue serving on the Board of Directors, reflecting the continuity, generosity, and long-term commitment that have long defined their leadership and dedication to our community.
“It has been an honor to serve as President of the Cultural Alliance during a time of significant change and opportunity. The resilience and commitment shown by our Board, staff, and community have strengthened the organization and positioned it well for the future. I am excited to remain on the Board and support the Alliance’s next chapter as we continue advancing our mission and serving our cultural community.” Says Cheryl of her dedicated tenure.
Holly reflected on her service by saying:
“I have worked in nonprofit museums for my entire career. I believe passionately in the ability of the arts to build community, curiosity, and joy. The Cultural Alliance serves a vital role in bringing the arts and humanities together across Fairfield County, furthering collaboration and fostering the exchange of ideas.”
Whitney shared what inspires her to serve:
“I think of arts and culture as part of our community infrastructure. I’m proud to serve as Treasurer on the CAFC board and help build the stability that allows great art to happen.”
It is an honor to serve as the Chairman of the Board of the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County. Art plays a vital role in fostering human connection, inspiring innovation, and spurring economic activity. I look forward to working with my fellow Board members and Douglas to promote Fairfield County’s diverse array of artists and cultural offerings.
The Cultural Alliance is fortunate to be guided by a board whose members bring diverse professional expertise and a shared belief in the importance of arts and culture. We look forward to the leadership, collaboration, and continued community building that this next chapter will bring.
