Open Arts Alliance is proud to announce auditions for its upcoming musical production of Cinderella. Auditions will be held December 6th at The Powerhouse Theatre (679 South Ave, New Canaan, CT 06840); 7th & 9th, at 6 p.m. at The River House (125 River Road Extension, Cos Cob, CT 06807). Callbacks will be held on December 10th at 6 p.m.
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s classic musical features the world’s famous “Rags To Riches” story of Cinderella. Mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters, Cinderella’s fate is transformed by her Fairy Godmother and the help of a glass slipper- proving that “impossible things are happening every day.” Featuring classic songs like: “The Prince Is Giving A Ball,” “In My Own Little Corner” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” Cinderella is one of the world’s most beloved musicals.
All youth in the community ages 8-18 are encouraged to audition. Required audition registration can be completed at www.OpenArtsAlliance.com by December 5th. Auditioners need only attend one of the scheduled audition dates. Children auditioning should be prepared to sing a song of their choosing a cappella, and be ready to read from a portion of the script.
