Bridgeport resident Jasmine Vega joins KEYS Board of Directors

KEYS (Kids Empowered by Your Support), which provides free, in-school, and virtual music instrument instruction to Bridgeport, CT students, welcomes Bridgeport resident Jasmine Vega to the KEYS Board of Directors.

Jasmine Vega is a Supportive Services caseworker at Alliance for Community Empowerment in Bridgeport CT that provides resources to pay the rent and utilities for people in the greater Bridgeport area. Born and raised in Bridgeport, Jasmine has just started her career in humanitarian services by working for multiple non-profits in two major cities in Connecticut in supportive and rehabilitation roles over the past four years. Jasmine was introduced to KEYS through the SEAT program, which offers training to prepare and equip residents from minority neighborhoods to serve on boards in their area. KEYS instantly became her first pick due to her love and passion for music as she grew up in a family of musicians. Jasmine earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut.
