GCTYO works with consultants to achieve DEIB goals

Greater Connecticut Youth Orchestras is working with two consultants to achieve its goals of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging for students and staff in the organization. Stanford Thompson and his team at Goldsmith Strategies worked with GCTYO on a 3-year strategic plan that seeks to advance GCTYO’s capacity to expand its reach and sustain itself as a culturally relevant, equitable, and inclusive organization. Rydell Harrison, an academic leadership coach with experience in operationalizing equity-focused missions and social justice goals, has been conducting regular workshops with GCTYO Teaching Artists to empower them to understand and advance equity in their classrooms.
