National Historic Landmark to Hold Special Volunteer Recruiting Sessions

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum in Norwalk, CT will be holding Special Recruiting and Orientation Sessions on March 5, 8, 12, & 15, 2022 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Prospective volunteers will have an opportunity to meet members of the Board and staff of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum and explore with Melissa Feliciano Erickson, Manager of Museum Services ways in which they can help support their community and this cherished National Historic Landmark. An informational tour and light refreshments will be provided by the museum’s management team. A background in history is not required.

The Museum relies on dedicated volunteers for a variety of tasks including: guided tours, Gift Shop sales, monitoring community and fundraising events such as the Old-Fashioned Flea Market and the annual Gala, research and implementation of award-winning exhibitions, school/youth group outreach and coordination, archival projects, marketing and media production, and much more. Applicants can volunteer weekly or occasionally, to help on a specific project or event.
