We are delighted to share that we have received a $30,000 Connecticut Humanities grant in support of our upcoming exhibition “In Real Times. Arthur Szyk: Artist and Soldier for Human Rights.” Organized by the The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life at UC Berkeley, where it opened in May 2021, it was curated by Francesco Spagnolo, PhD. At Fairfield, the exhibition is organized by Philip Eliasoph, PhD, Professor of Art History & Visual Culture, Department of Visual & Performing Arts, Sam & Bettie Roberts Lecturer in Judaic Studies, Fairfield University College of Arts & Sciences. This exhibition will be on view in the Museum’s Bellarmine Hall Galleries September 29 – December 16, 2023.
