The Westport Book Shop is pleased to welcome artist Elizabeth Petrie-Devoll as guest exhibitor for the month of August at the Book Shop’s Drew Friedman Art Place.
Elizabeth is exhibiting eleven original assemblage artworks. Elizabeth creates new art from old objects with a practice that enlivens history and questions the supposed border between the past and the present. She sees possibility in the discarded, weathered, and forgotten. A student and lover of history, Elizabeth uses her archivist sensibility to combine found antiquities into immersive, vibrant, miniature theaters.
Westport Book Shop is located at 23 Jesup Road, right across Jesup Green from The Westport Library.
