Amy Kaplan Artwork

Amy Kaplan is a painter and mixed media artist with a BA in Pattern Design and a former career as a textile print designer and colorist. A Connecticut native, her strong affinity for land, sea and sky informs her work which ranges from literal to abstraction. Amy says of her current collection, Dreamweaves, “ I make abstracted art referencing landscape real and imaginary, using pigment and cut paper to weave together many different subtle moments, days and weeks of a place, creating a textile-like artifact of interwoven past, present, and future.” Amy shows her work around Fairfield County and Connecticut, and is a leader in The Artists Collective of Westport, where she works on special events and helping to connect the arts community with other local organizations and businesses.
