The Art Society of Old Greenwich, founded in 1927, is a non-profit organization committed to art as an integral part of a thriving community. We are constantly working to highlight our members and their art through exhibits, instructional programs, special events, and student scholarships. We welcome all artists and patrons of the arts to become members.
With an ever growing membership of painters, digital artists, sculptors, mixed media artists and photographers, The Art Society of Old Greenwich is one of the oldest communities of artists and patrons in Connecticut.
Robert Wesley Amick, a noted illustrator working in New York City and known for western landscapes, retired in the Greenwich area. In 1927, Amick gathered painting professionals and community artists into a friendly organization which came to be known as the Art Society of Old Greenwich.
Membership is open to all artists working in any medium. Membership includes: juried shows judged by respected and prominent artists, exhibitions, lectures, demonstrations and more! Ribbons and prize money are awarded at most events.
