The Brookfield Craft Center (BCC) was founded in 1952 and is recognized as one of the core fine craft schools in America. The center, incorporated in 1954 as a 501 (c)(3) organization, offers classes and workshops in a variety of craft media including glass, clay, fiber, woodturning, jewelry, blacksmithing, and more. Programs range from one day to multiple weeks and anyone may participate, from beginners to advanced professionals and from children to adults. At BCC, your unique experience is provided to you by local and nationally recognized crafts people. In addition to our studio spaces the historic Mill Building (ca 1780) houses our Gift Shop, which offers work by our staff as well as local and national artists, and the Gallery, which hosts a number of exhibitions every year. As a force for arts advocacy and community building, Brookfield Craft Center strives to teach and preserve the skills of fine craftsmanship, and to enable creativity and personal growth through craft education.
