I have been sewing and learning about textiles since my childhood. I am inspired by fabrics and enjoy elevating them to their potential, and am rewarded when ordinary fabrics combine and make something extraordinary. I still make quilts using traditional methods, and have ventured into representational and abstract art quilts using collage, free motion cutting and quilting and raw edge applique.
In my art quilt work, no subject matter is off limits, nor any construction method. Up until now, my quilts have reflected the physical, social, spiritual, and historical worlds as I perceive them, in all their beauty, complexity, simplicity and emotion.
