My sculptural work explores groupings of abstracted, humanoid forms as a commentary on intimacy, relationships and human connection. The lyrical nature of the work stems from my background in classical music.

The work is informed by Japanese ceramic’s organic and lively nature employing simple, elegant lines with a wabi-sabi nature of acceptance of the imperfect. Working in series allows me to explore ideas and shapes as they transform through the repetitive process. Often the groupings take on humanoid characteristics, dancing, nuzzling, singing, floating, whispering.
