Frederic Chiu is a world-renowned concert pianist whose American/Chinese/French background gives him a rare global perspective. He has played on 5 continents, and in all 50 States of the US. He has collaborated with Joshua Bell, Pierre Amoyal, the Saint Lawrence String Quartet, as well as hip-hop artist Socalled, Buffo the Clown and storyteller David Gonzalez.
He pushes the live piano recital concert experience into new, interactive areas, with cutting-edge technology (Yamaha Disklavier, TransAcoustic and AvantGrand pianos) as well as old-fashioned traditions (paper ballots for voting in Frederic Chiu's Classical Smackdown).
He created the non-profit Beechwood Arts and Innovation with his wife and collaborative partner, Jeanine Esposito, where they develop programs that create community through the expansion of how the arts are created and experienced.
