Julia Rose is an emerging artist who focuses in abstract contemporary paintings and mixed media collage. Her work is greatly inspired by fashion and design elements. Her favorite materials include acrylics, palette knife, oil pastel, fabric, and paper elements. Julia Rose received her undergraduate degree in Art Studies at SUNY Purchase, is a member of the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, and works as a School Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor in CT. Julia Rose has her pieces in private collections across the country. She has displayed her work in group and solo exhibits throughout Fairfield County. Most recently she participated as an exhibiting member of the Rowayton Arts Center in Connecticut. Julia Rose is a Bridgeport native and she attributes her visual art interests to her creative upbringing and artistic mother who encouraged exploration. One of her favorite memories was as a young teen when her mother got her a subscription to Vogue Magazine because she expressed interest in fashion photography. Today, Julia Rose channels her appreciation for color, texture, composition, and form into her multidimensional works and aims to bring this energy to a larger canvas.
