Lee Walther is a highly inventive artist and a self-proclaimed “Dadaist”. For Lee, who has always been in the creative fields of art, fashion and design, everything is or can be art, and inspiration is everywhere. Seen through Lee’s special lens and imagination, new concepts and ideas are created in different mediums, often as Functional Art, as shown with her unique and original side tables. Lee’s work has been shown in many galleries and juried/invitational exhibits throughout Connecticut as well as the Monmouth Museum in NJ, Connecticut Design Center and Spruce Home and Garden in Westport. She is a member of the Westport Artists Collective, the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, Ridgefield Guild of Artists, Rowayton Art Center and the Black Rock Artist Guild.

Each piece is custom made and features an interchangeable clear acrylic box which becomes the centerpiece in the middle of the table. It can be used to display any variety of objects and collectibles. Crystals/sea glass, miniature gardens/terrariums, floating candles, a temporary aquarium, coin collections or set of small toys all take on a new perspective in this open (or lidded) container and become a functional, ever changing piece of art. The lucite legs, base, and table top are combined with choice wood, and color finishes among other materials.
