Michelle studied art history at Vassar College and at the University of Austin, Texas. After working as a curatorial Assistant at The Jewish Museum, New York, and a position as DIrector of Marketing and Curator at The Stamford Museum, she became increasingly interested in food policy and, after positions as Research Assistant in Public Policy at UConn’s Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity, and Policy Analyst at the Hartford Food System, she became Director of Center for Food Equity and Economic Development at The Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport in 2013, a position she still holds.
Michelle has run for state senator in the 28th Senate District in 2018 and 2020. She has served on the boards of the Fairfield PTA Council and the Fairfield Public Library.
