Steve Adelman is a lawyer and consultant regarding safety and security at live events. He has his own sports and entertainment firm, Adelman Law Group, PLLC, and he is Vice President of the non-profit Event Safety Alliance. He is principal author of the American National Standards for Crowd Management and for Event Security, ANSI ES1.9-2020 and ANSI ES1.40-2023, respectively, and he is working on a new standard for Parade Safety. Steve and his wife live in Rowayton.
