The Greenwich Historical Society Art and History Camp runs for a three week term from July 8th to July 26th averaging 20-25 campers per week. (2nd-8th grade) The camp is rooted in the history of the Bush-Holley House, focusing on the colonial time period for its history themed weeks and the works of the Cos Cob Art Colony for its art themed weeks.

The Camp Director is the primary person running the daily activities of the camp, its finances, and registration. This position requires a college degree; experience in fine arts management working with children, teens, and young adults; some supervisory and administrative experience and basic computer skills. Art background preferred.

A juried exhibition exploring our planet's ever-evolving landscape and the profound transformations occurring. We seek works exploring the impact of climate change, urbanization, and technology on our planet's delicate ecosystems and humanity's role in shaping the world.

The juror will develop an exhibition from a selection of works entered that reflect upon the transformations occurring in our natural surroundings contemplate our planet's past, present, and future. This exhibition aims to encompass various perspectives and interpretations of the changing landscape. Any artwork that addresses environmental themes or depicts the interaction between humans and their surroundings is eligible for consideration.

Silvermine Arts Center seeks a Building and Grounds Maintenance Worker to set up classes, maintain the art studios and gallery buildings, and perform light grounds work to ensure full and productive use of Silvermine Art Center’s campus. The Maintenance worker is responsible for performing semi-skilled tasks, including maintenance and repairs of plumbing fixtures and electrical, interior, and exterior buildings.

The Greenwich Choral Society announces auditions for Fairfield and Westchester County singers interested in becoming a member of the area’s premier choral group. Auditions will be conducted for those interested in joining the Greenwich Choral Society on the following dates: Tuesday, January 9th from 5:00 pm; Saturday, January 13th from 12:30 pm; and Tuesday, January 16th from 5:00 pm.

The Carriage Barn Arts Center Annual Juried Photography Show will run from February 3 - March 8, 2024. The exhibition will be juried by Brian Wallis (Executive Director) and Marina Chao (Curator) of The Center for Photography at Woodstock (CPW).

Submission is open to all regional photographers — amateur, professional, and student. All original photographic media, including film and digital images accepted. Criteria the juror will consider include: impact, creativity, style, composition, color balance, presentation, focal point, lighting, subject matter, narrative, and degree of difficulty. All subjects and styles will be considered.

Submission deadline is January 3 (midnight)

This is a multimedia exhibit for SAA members only. We are asking SAA members to submit 1-5 works for consideration. One of your pieces will be selected for display at an exhibit curated by the SAA Gallery Manager Casey Correa. Submit your best work and we will all celebrate the incredible talent of our members. The Center for Contemporary Printmaking’s Biennial FOOTPRINT International Competition is an opportunity for artists to explore current trends and innovations in contemporary printmaking within the bounds of the one square foot (12” x 12”) configuration.

All fine-art printmaking mediums, including woodcut, intaglio, lithography, screenprint, monotype, and original digital media may be utilized. (No drawings, photographs, or direct reproductions are eligible.) Image size must be exactly 12 x 12 inches.

The Wilton Playshop will hold auditions for It’s Only a Play (2014 Broadway script edition) on Sunday, November 26th and Tuesday, November 28th at 7 pm. Directed by Scott R. Brill, the show will run February 9th – February 24th, 2024.

All artists are invited to take part in the annual Metro Art Studios fundraising exhibit, 10 x 10, this November. All artwork will be sold for $100, with $50 going to Metro and $50 going to the artist. Unlike many other fundraising exhibits where artists are asked to donate their work outright, Metro feels that it's important that the gallery and the exhibiting artists benefit equally.

All artwork must be exactly 10" x 10" square and no more than 2" deep. Work must be finished and ready to hang. If framed, the frame must be 10" x 10" square. All artwork must be original (no reproductions), but any medium is acceptable. No entry fee. See all details and entry form on the Metro website.

ACT (A Contemporary Theatre) of Connecticut is seeking individuals to join our Front of House Team for SUNSET BOULEVARD at our nonprofit 501(c)(3) professional theater located in Ridgefield, CT. This position serves as the public facing ambassador of our team welcoming patrons to each performance and ensuring that they have a positive experience.

Shifts are 5 hours per performance. So for example, if the performance is at 7pm, then the Front of House shift would be 5pm-10pm. Performances are Thursday-Sunday evenings, with matinees on some Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm. SUNSET BOULEVARD runs October 26th - November 10th, 2023

Annual holiday exhibit & sale at the Carriage Barn Arts Center

The Carriage Barn Arts Center is excited to be presenting (in collaboration with the Glass House) the 2nd Annual Stand Up Against Racism (S.T.A.R.) exhibition this fall (on view October 28 - November 12). The multi-media exhibition Through Your Looking Glass will highlight the work of student artists (ANY age) that is related to racism, social justice, the environment, anti-bullying and messages of peace and hope. Every student who submits (within the guidelines) will be included. Please submit works that are framed and or ready to be hung. Deadline is October 23rd.
Opening reception will be held at the Carriage Barn Saturday October 28th 12pm-2pm. Students, family, friends and community members are welcome to attend.
