Rick Reyes

Rick Reyes is a folk hero of the Connecticut independent music scene. A troubadour, songwriter, producer, and a storyteller performer. He is known for poetic lyrics, and for leading the Latin Rock band Cosmic Jibaros.

Hailing from Bridgeport Connecticut. The Cosmic Jibaros are legendary for their high energy shows. Their music is a mixture of Rock, Puerto Rican roots, Caribbean rhythms and global influences. Formulating a sound that is both cross-cultural, highly danceable,and hypnotically magnetic. Primarily sung in spanish by Reyes, the songs are laced with social and political overtones, and energized by the pulse of congas, timbales, and effects-laden guitar work.
