Westport Country Playhouse is a nationally recognized, not-for-profit, professional theater that produces theater from playwrights, actors, directors, and designers of all backgrounds that entertains audiences and while exploring human and societal issues along the way. In addition to its mainstage productions, the Playhouse presents play readings, and is an incubator for new works and emerging artists. It is dedicated to reaching into the community and schools to provide theatrical experiences and resources to educators. With a distinct New England charm, the Playhouse campus includes the Jason Robards Theatre, the Lucille Lortel White Barn, and a lovely garden open to the community.

Yes! At the Playhouse we are compliant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, meaning that we do not discriminate against individuals with disabilities. Our facilities are equipped with elevators and ramps to help patrons with special needs. A number of accessible seats for patrons with mobility requirements are available throughout the theater. If you require an accessible seat, please call the box office before arriving at the Playhouse. A limited number of infrared assisted listening devices are available from the box office to aid in your enjoyment of the performance.
