Chris Froehlich is a master woodworker, sculptor and painter.

My approach to my artwork comes from an intuitive relationship I’ve developed with wood over the last 40 years. The Idea (or reality) of Holding Space for me means that art can bless and protect a space. It can bring in the most benevolent outcome for all people that come in contact with it. My sculptures come from what was once a living entity, what’s left is the structure or the skeleton with its vibrational memories of its history, growth patterns, and invasions. It was then arrested in its de-composing process by me so that I could tell a story using its structure.

That story speaks to the Web of Life that we are all
