Connecticut Audubon’s Fairfield Nature Center is a year-round hub of environmental education activities and programs for nature enthusiasts of all ages. The Center building houses live animal exhibits, classrooms, and Nature Store. Next to the building, the Birds of Prey Aviary, Pollinator Garden and Frog Pond sites offer unique ways to learn about animals and wildlife habitats and view them up close. The 155-acre Roy and Margot Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary, with 7 miles of trails, serves as an outdoor classroom and peaceful retreat through all the seasons. Trails are open to the public seven days a week from dawn to dusk. The building and Nature Store are open Monday–Saturday, 10am to 3pm.

Wheelchair Access
To accommodate wheelchairs, the mile-long Edna Strube Chiboucas Special Use Trail is five-to-seven feet wide and paved with finely crushed rock. It circles through the sanctuary's 155 acres, following an easy grade through the woods, along the edge of a meadow and over several streams and swamps. Interpretive signs stand at intervals, and there are numerous benches along the trail for sitting.
