Scott Smith is a songwriter, singer, guitarist, and bandleader for the North County Band. A native of the Midwest, Scott was raised on country music and Southern rock. He learned to play guitar at 12 and inherited his singing voice from his mother. Scott came to CT in 2009 and has been a regular on the Fairfield County music scene. His songwriting has been featured at the Workshop Collective songwriters showcase and his song “Connecticut” recently received some statewide attention from Governor Lamont and News12. Scott is an associate professor of legal studies at Post University in Waterbury. He lives in Redding with his wife and 3 teenage children.
